The Most Expensive Cadillac In The World
Introduced in 2005, the Cadillac's most expensive model sold at $100,000 was a good competitor in the sports luxury market. It features a supercharged 443 horsepower 4.4 liter V-8 engine with a power of 0-60 mph at 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. Cadillac used to be the choice of those in their golden years but the sporty XLR-V broke the mold.
Cadillac created the XLR-V convertible in 2006-2009, which was a performance variant of the Cadillac XLR. The Cadillac XLR-V convertible was perfect for wind-tousled hair and sun-kissed cheeks. It's a 2-seater with a retractable hardtop.
Cadillac gave the V8 a personal touch as it's built by single craftsman - has a luxurious voice-activated navigation system, adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel, and head-up display. The XLR-V lagged behind in terms of sleek furnishing which were offered by its rivals. The Cadillac XLR-V was a luxurious outcome of the wealth of standard features that came with the XLR-V roadster. The unique front grille and sculpted hood are designed to house the supercharged engine. It is fully loaded that included a Blue-tooth phone connectivity and heated leather seats. The interior is attractive, trimmed with gleaming aluminum accents and burnished exotic wood. However, the cockpit is quite tight for taller drivers and the cargo room is limited as well.
The new Cadillac XLR-V provides a magnetic ride control adaptive suspension tuned to be more sporty than that of the standard XLR. Sharper handling is perfectly comfortable although steering wasn't as agile.
Performance-wise, the Cadillac XLR-V is considered high and good for daily driving. The retractable hardtop can open and close in about 30 seconds. Contrary to expectations from high performance sports car, the Cadillac XLR-V fell a bit short. But for a smooth throttle and posh comfort ride, the Cadillac XLR-V can give that feeling to the driver.
